IMMIGRATION MEDICALS
Israel
.png)
We offer immigration medicals for Aliyah, Sar-el, Taglit, and Magen David Adom programs.
To book an appointment, please call 587-620-3930, and state clearly which program you need the appointment for.
-
WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE COMING TO THE APPOINTMENT?
As soon as you book the appointment at this clinic, it is essential that you send a PDF version of the blank medical immigration documents for either Aliyah, Sar-el, or Taglit to us via email at apply@cranstonridgemedical.com.
-
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE IME?
You’ll undergo a physical exam with one of the physicians. The medical clinic staff will ask you a number of questions, check your documents, measure your height, weight, and vision, take your blood pressure, and collect a sample of your urine for testing. The physician will feel your pulse, check your hearing, listen to your heart and lungs, feel your abdomen, check how your limbs move, and look at your skin.
The physician won’t examine your genitals or rectal area. These parts of the body aren’t required for the immigration medical exam.
The physician may need to examine your breasts. If they do, they will provide you with an explanation of why and how the examination is being done (a female chaperone will always be present in the room together with the physician). At the end of your exam, the physician will fill out your medical immigration forms and return them to you.
-
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO THE CLINIC FOR MY IME APPOINTMENT?
-
Please bring your passport, Alberta identity card, or Alberta driver's licence with you on the day of your Immigration Medical Exam (IME). No exceptions are made under any circumstance!
-
Eyeglasses or contact lenses, if you wear them.
-
Any medical results or test reports that you have for any previous or existing medical conditions.
-
Please bring with you a list of your current medications, including the name, dosage, and how many times per day you take each medication.
-
If you have proof of a previous COVID-19 vaccination, bring it; the panel physician will include this record with your exam.
-
-
HOW MUCH DOES THE IME COST?
This service is offered free of charge to residents of Alberta.
-
HOW LONG WILL THE IME TAKE?
The visit will last approximately 30 minutes per applicant. However, in some circumstances, an IME may take longer than 30 minutes. Make sure you do not have any appointment booked for the entirety of the day of your IME.
-
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THE IME?
At the end of your appointment, the physician will issue the completed and signed forms to you. Sometimes, you may need to undergo blood tests or chest X-rays before the completed form is returned to you. In such cases, you will be instructed directly by the physician about what to do next.
